Tugas Akhir Perbedaan Tumpatan Semen Ionomer Kaca Konvensial Dengan Semen Ionomer Kaca Modifikasi Resin Terhadap Kekuatan Tekan (Eksperimental Labolatoris).
Abstrak Conventional glass ionomer cements and resin-modified glass ionomer cements materials which consist of liquid and powder. The hardening process of the conventional glass ionomer cements occurs chemically. To the present time, resin-modified glass ionomer cements, ionomer cements which formed of chemical and composite, are developed to increase the compressive strength. The hardening process of resin-modified glass ionomer cements occurs chemically and by a light-curing process. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the compressive strength of conventional glass ionomer cements than resin-modified glass ionomer cements. And useful for clinical practice about the differences compressive strength of conventional glass ionomer cements than resin-modified glass ionomer cements . This study used 7 specimens for each material with 6 mm in height and 3 mm in diameter. The specimens properly kept for 24 hours in a hygrometer. By means of an autograph compressive strength was evaluated. The results were analyzed statistically with t test, the mean of the compressive strength are 2,5721 Newton and 6,6986 Newton for the conventional glass ionomer cements and resin-modified glass ionomer cements respectively. The results revealed that the compressive strength of resin-modified glass ionomer cements was higher than conventional glass ionomer cements.
