UNAIR NEWS - Universitas Airlangga continues to produce the next generation of achievers and excellence. This time, the achievement was made by Roy Novri Ramadhan, a Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) student, who won the best speaker in Leadership Development Djarum Beasiswa Plus. 

Roy Novri Ramadhan is one of the recipients of the prestigious scholarship Djarum Beasiswa Plus. He won the best speaker in the Djarum Beasiswa Plus program, Leadership Development Djarum Beasiswa Plus. 

Djarum Beasiswa Plus provides scholarships for awardees and programs that support the awardees' soft skills. The programs include character-building, leadership development, nation-building, international exposure, competition challenges, and community empowerment. 

"It is an honor to be part of Djarum Beasiswa Plus. Not only getting scholarships, but awardees can also develop soft skills such as public speaking in the Djarum Beasiswa Plus Leadership Development program," Roy said. 

On that occasion, Roy represented the Mayor of Yogyakarta. He launched the Andong Malioboro innovation to maintain and preserve one of Yogyakarta's cultural heritages. The invention that Roy launched was an application called "Langgeng Andong."

Langgeng Andong is one of the applications created to facilitate domestic and foreign tourists, curb traffic congestion on Malioboro Street, improve the economy of Malioboro andong drivers, and develop aspects of Indonesian tourism so that it can compete with other countries. 

"I am very grateful and proud of this achievement, and this will continue to be my motivation to never stop learning and practicing so as not to become a complacent person," Roy added. 

Roy also thanked the Djarum Foundation for providing a platform for awardees to develop and practice skills from existing programs. This has become a valuable thing in his life. 

In the end, Roy advised his fellow students to practice and multiply experiences early on, especially in public speaking. For him, public speaking is a provision to become a great leader in the future.
