UNAIR NEWS - Community Service Program (KKN) group Belajar Bersama Komunitas (learning together with the community) 67 Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in Gemarang Village, Gemarang District, Madiun Regency, closed a series of activities by holding an exhibition. Titled Gemarang Fair 2023, a combination of two KKN groups, 1 and 2, made a peak activity targeting local residents, students of SDN 1 Gemarang, SDN 2 Gemarang, and KKN students.  

Auvi Diyanati Kanasibah, a member of the Gemarang BBK KKN, revealed that Gemarang Fair 2023 raised the theme "Guyub Rukun dengan Budaya". The activity provides a forum for channeling talent, creativity, and art performances for all Gemarang Village residents. As well as a farewell event for the Gemarang Village community with KKN students who will be finished.  

"The goal is to provide valuable mementos as well as a farewell to the Gemarang residents with KKN 67 UNAIR members," he said.  

Exciting Competition 

The Islamic Economics student class of 2020 said Gemarang Fair started a series of activities from Wednesday (1/2/2023) to Thursday (2/2/2023). Various competition activities for local children are available. In the end, they closed the series of Gemarang Fair 2023 on the peak night.  

"Before the peak night, there are several competitions. Namely, a race to put nails in a bottle, balloon racing, sack racing, and coloring competitions," he said. 

The competition activities lasted for two days. The peak night on Thursday (2/2/2023) contained various performances. Starting from dances from SDN 1 Gemarang, SDN 4 Gemarang, to PKK mothers. 

"On the peak night, there were several dance performances. Namely, Manuk Dadali and Lathi from SDN 4 Gemarang, Wonderland dance from SDN 1 Gemarang, and dances from PKK women," he said.  

In addition, there was a singing performance entitled Mother by students of SDN 2 Gemarang. A special BBK Period 67 Gemarang KKN Group performance closed the series of activities. 

"There was also a mother song performance from SDN 2 Gemarang and a special performance from KKN 67 UNAIR members," she added. 

Doorprize Sharing 

Auvi added that the peak night was the most memorable during the Gemarang Fair event. Given, the enthusiasm of Gemarang villagers was extraordinary to enliven the event.  

In addition, the committee distributed several door prizes to the residents who attended. This further added to the community's enthusiasm to participate in the activity. 

"Because the enthusiasm of the residents is extraordinary. And there are many door prizes, so many people are interested in coming," he said.
