UNAIR NEWS - Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship Incubation and Alumni (DPKKA) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) collaborated again. This time the collaboration was with Apiary Academy in a webinar entitled "Apiary Career Day Featuring UNAIR" on Wednesday, June 7, 2020. The event was open to all UNAIR students and fresh graduates.

Director of DPKKA UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Elly Munadziroh drg MS, in her speech, said that this activity is a form of DPKKA's commitment to preparing students' soft skills. According to her, career preparation is an important provision for students when entering the world of work.

"One of our visions is how the younger siblings, after graduation, will immediately get a job or become entrepreneurs. I think this vision is also the same as Apiary Academy to provide job information for students," explained Prof. Elly.

she said collaboration with Apiary Academy as a career development platform is a strategy for achieving this vision. "So with this synergy we hope it can be mutually beneficial. UNAIR graduates that we educate can be quickly absorbed, and Apiary Academy can help competent students in pursuing careers, "she added.

In addition, Prof. Elly said this event also collaborated with several companies, including Telkom Indonesia, Amartha, Flip, Lion Parcel, Bank Jago, and Sirclo. So she hopes the participants will be able to take advantage of the opportunities well.

"Hopefully, it will also help tenants of Apiary Academy to get suitable candidates because several companies are joining for recruitment," said the Faculty of Dentistry UNAIR professor.

As additional information, Apiary Academy presented speakers with career preparation topics ranging from curriculum vitae and recruiter interviews to career consultations. The speakers included Sarah Silvia, employer branding specialist Flip; Monica Anggar, people acquisition and employer branding manager Lion Parcel; Rahmah Putri, talent acquisition Amartha; Putu Dida D, employer branding Amartha; and Rino Saputra, off 3 quality, change, and risk management Telkom Indonesia.
