Reviewing Reproductive Health, Satila Zalianty Zen wins third place in the national essay competition Thursday, 21 March 2024 11:06

UNAIR NEWS - Satila Zalianty Zen, a student of Midwifery Study Programme, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) won third place in national essay competition at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya on Friday (15/3/2024). She has participated in several national level essay competitions that discuss health.

The student who is familiarly called Satila said that in this competition, there were approximately 52 teams from various campuses throughout Indonesia. She said that this was a challenge, because she wrote the essay individually.

 

Reviewing the Reproductive Health of Adolescent Girls
Satila revealed that the theme of the competition was about health, so it was still general. According to her, there are still many young women who do not care about reproductive health. Therefore, she wrote about reproductive health education for young women.

"The title of the essay I wrote is Re-Know: Reproductive Health Education for Adolescent Girls Through Promotive and Preventive Aspects Based on Iot (Internet Of Things) and Talkback as the Implementation of Sdgs. In particular, this paper discusses the talkback feature to help blind people understand this education," she said.

Satila hopes that through her writing, it is not only limited to participating in competitions, but also to educate young women on the importance of maintaining reproductive health. She revealed that although the idea of this writing has been presented in other competitions, this time by bringing up the talk back feature. Hopefully, more people will understand about reproductive health.

 

Short Preparation
Satila said that her preparation for the competition was less than a week. She admitted that the short preparation, in addition to her college activities, made it a challenge for her.

"The work on this essay was very short, because at that time I was out of town. I often worked on the essay on the bus while travelling for other activities," she said.

Satila was also happy that despite the short preparation, she was able to compete with several campuses that also participated in this competition. By winning third place, she revealed that she would not be complacent. She will keep trying in other competitions to make UNAIR proud.

"I advise all UNAIR students, don't be afraid to try new things as long as it is good and beneficial for us. If we are afraid of failure, it means we have let the limitations affect our abilities, "he concluded.
