UNAIR NEWS - Rector of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Prof Dr Moh Nasih SE MT Ak officially inaugurated the management of student organisations on Tuesday (19/3/24). In his speech this time, Prof Nasih hoped for new changes and better contributions to UNAIR from all ormawa.

"The tasks and issues that must be solved in the future will probably be very many. Therefore, it is necessary to have student contributions for positive changes," he said.

In the inauguration ceremony held in Amerta Room, Management Office, 4th Floor, MERR Campus (C) UNAIR, Prof Nasih said that many strategic programmes can be developed, especially in Student Activity Units (UKM). It aims to make more achievements and bring good changes in the future.

"Make a lot of competitions in accordance with scientific fields or expertise, both arts and scientific work. This is certainly to bring good changes to Universitas Airlangga," he added.

In addition, Prof Nasih added that this year UNAIR hosted PIMNAS. It was an extraordinary opportunity because PIMNAS is a big competition.

"This year UNAIR is hosting PIMNAS. It is hoped that the ormawa board for the 2024 service period can be at the forefront of the success of PIMNAS and of course bring UNAIR's name."

Previously, UNAIR was ranked 345th in the World University Rankings and the 4th best university in Indonesia. Prof Nasih is very hopeful that the rank will increase to 299 World University Rankings.

"We hope this year the rank of Universitas Airlangga will increase from 345 to 299," he said.

Ormawa Management for the 2024 Term
In the ceremony, Prof Nasih inaugurated Aulia Thaariq Akbar and Ricky Rivaldi as chairman and vice chairman of the Student Executive Board (BEM) for the 2024 service period. Meanwhile, Ikhwanul Muslimin and Anggun Zifa Anindia occupied the position as chairman and secretary of the Student Representative Assembly (MPM).

Through the decision of the Rector of Universitas Airlangga Number 59/UN3/2024, the position of chairman of the Student Legislative Council (DLM) is filled by Ahmad Naufal Firnanda and Yusuf Akmal Karim as its secretary. Meanwhile, Fidia Dwi Citasari and Oksaviany Alfareza filled the chair and secretary of the Student Activity Unit Communication Forum (Forkom). Not only that, Prof Nasih also inaugurated 49 members of the Student Representative Assembly (MPM), 30 members of the Student Legislative Council (DLM) and 49 heads of UKM.
