Encouraging student to be entrepreneurs, UNAIR hosts ACEC 2024 Tuesday, 08 October 2024 11:34

UNAIR NEWS – Following its success in 2023, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is once again hosting the Airlangga Collaborative Entrepreneur Camp (ACEC) in 2024. This program is part of the “Wirausaha Merdeka 2024” initiative, which aligns with the “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka” (MBKM) policy by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

ACEC 2024 is scheduled for an entire semester and the participating students will receive a credit conversion of up to 20 semester credits. As part of its pre-event activities, UNAIR held a briefing via Zoom on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Fostering spirit of collaboration
The seminar was presided by Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, DEA DVM, Vice Rector for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs. The professor from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine encouraged students to take part in the ACEC program.

“Through this program, we provide students with the opportunity to engage in activities that are part of the MBKM initiative, which includes the benefit of credit conversion,” stated Prof. Lukiswanto in his opening remarks.

Yanuar Nugroho, SE MSc Ak CA, Coordinator of WMK UNAIR, emphasized that the ACEC program fosters a spirit of collaboration. ACEC collaborates with various stakeholders, including local SMEs (UMKM) in East Java, industry practitioners, academics, and renowned entrepreneurship mentors.

“We will cultivate a spirit of collaboration through the ACEC 2024 program. This program will engage with multiple parties to support students throughout the semester,” he added.

Registration for ACEC opened on Friday, August 23, 2024, and will close on Sunday, November 10, 2024. During the briefing, Yanuar Nugroho provided detailed information about the registration process and the facilities available to participants.

“Participants will gain several benefits, including prototype funding, expos, digital marketing certification, internships, and mentoring with SMEs in East Java, as well as various entrepreneurship training sessions. Additionally, a Field Supervisor (DPL) will be assigned to guide students throughout the ACEC 2024 program,” he explained.

The ACEC will be conducted in three stages: the Ideapreneur stage, the Entrepreneur Pathway stage, and the Startupreneur stage. These stages aim to inspire and motivate students to become innovative and influential entrepreneurs.
