DPKKA Webinar Encourages Students to Take Independent Internships in the Digital Field Saturday, 20 May 2023 18:29

UNAIR NEWS - UNAIR Department of Career Development, Entrepreneurship Incubation, and Alumni held another webinar for the socialization of Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) Batch 4. With the theme "Preparing Future Digital Talents with Orbit Future Academy", the socialization on Wednesday, January 18, 2020, was attended by Ira Utari as chief of sales and partnership and Ikhwan Jambak as program director of Orbit Future Academy.

Ira explained that Orbit Future Academy is an innovation and technology-based platform founded by B.J. Habibie and Ainun Habibie to improve the quality of life through innovation, education, and skills training. To achieve this goal, Orbit Future Academy joined as a partner of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture in the Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) program.

"Orbit is a partner of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Therefore, we play a role in providing independent internship programs that are of course certified," Ira said.

Ira said that the programs offered in MSIB with Orbit Future Academy are very diverse and can undoubtedly be used as SKS conversion. There are various programs to choose from, such as cloud computing, AI 4 jobs, AI mastery, full stack developer, and digital marketing.

Of these programs, AI 4 Jobs is one of the leading programs because the industry needs it. Interestingly, besides offering technology and innovation-based programs, Orbit Future Academy also offers professional ethics material considering its importance in the industrial world.

"We also provide professional ethics material because this is important when students work in companies or other industries," said Ira.

Furthermore, Ira explained that Orbit Future Academy also offers internship placement assistance with more than 140 partners, such as Job Bytes and Orbitguru.id. This is an advantage of Orbit Future Academy in helping support students' careers at various universities in Indonesia.

"We have given it to students since the first batch of students and now it has entered the fourth batch and is attended by many students from various universities in Indonesia," said Ira.

In the end, Ira hoped for the enthusiasm of UNAIR students to enroll in the internship program at Orbit Future Academy as a partner of MSIB Kemendikbud RI.
