UNAIR NEWS - Human Resources are now getting closer to the acceleration of digital transformation. As a result, many IT-based start-up companies have emerged in Indonesia. Especially millennials who are digitally literate are eager for jobs in that field.

IT-based start-up companies have a variety of unique facilities and a work culture that is not rigid and formal. The work pattern is effective, and the culture is casual. Anyone will be tempted to work at the start-up.

Therefore, the Directorate of Career Development, Incubation, Entrepreneurship, and Alumni (DPKKA) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a webinar entitled "Accelerating Digital Transformation in Indonesia Through Millennial Youth" using the Zoom meeting platform on Wednesday (17/01/2023).

The webinar invited PIC MSIB at PT Arkatama Multi Solusindo Fauziah SE MM as a speaker. PT Arkatama, as a service company in the IT field, opens internship and independent study opportunities for students who are interested in internships in the IT field.

"Millennial youth are always interested in the IT world. Happy to do new things and should continue to develop." said Lina Nugraha Rani SE MSEI as head of the career development section of DPKKA UNAIR.

Lina started the socialization that morning by explaining a little about digital transformation. According to her, the echo of digital transformation is now emerging in many companies in Indonesia. Not only in the IT field, but the most crucial aspect of digital transformation lies not in technology but in human resources themselves.

On the sidelines of the presentation on digital transformation, Fauziah said that Human Resources (HR) need to be creative and innovative continuously. Primarily a work culture that tends to be flexible and has no seniority of positions.

"All have the freedom to express their opinions and ideas," she said.

PT Arkatama will focus on digital transformation services in guiding its students while running internship and independent study programs. This means that four positions will be available for students. Among them are Front and Developer, Full Stack Web Developers, Documentation and Software Tester, and Digital Marketer.
