Presenting UNAIR Medicine Alumni

The socialization presented Dr. Arya Satya Rajanagara as the main speaker. There was an explanation of several important points. Namely, an explanation of the definition of drugs, various effects, types, and impacts of drug abuse of depressant, stimulant, and hallucinogenic types on health.

The general practitioner, an alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNAIR, also explained the various impacts of drug abuse that occur. Especially the negative impact on the physical, psychological, and environment.

"Drugs affect a person physically because they can be thin, weak, and lazy. Psychologically, the person becomes abnormal due to hallucinations, moodiness, and irritability. So that their life becomes unproductive," he said.

Dr. Arya Satya Rajanagara revealed that several factors cause drug abuse and signs of individuals who abuse drugs. The factor that significantly influences drug consumption is the environment. However, the increase in the dose of consumption that occurs is due to the addictive effect of the individual himself.

"This is because curiosity becomes a long impact due to additives that are addictive with momentary pleasure until the dose is added continuously," he said.

Guarding ourselves from the environment and having the courage to refuse coercion can be one of the steps the younger generation takes to prevent drug abuse. This attitude will fortify us from falling into the dangerous abyss of drug abuse.

"Be good at finding a good environment. Don't let anyone provoke you," added Dr. Arya.
