UNAIR NEWS - Graduation is often seen as the end of a journey. However, not for Drs Esc Putut Sri Muljanto MM CMA. The representative of the Chairman of PP Alumni Family Association (IKA) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) said that the moment of graduation is the first step of the real journey.

He conveyed this during the inauguration of 1,382 graduates by UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak. The 234th graduation ceremony took place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Airlangga Convention Center, MERR-C Campus UNAIR.

"Graduation is not the end of the journey, but the first step of a long journey that awaits you," Putut said.

The Importance of Networking

The alumnus of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR continued, to welcome a career later, networking is one of the most important aspects. For this reason, UNAIR graduates can utilize IKA UNAIR as a forum to grow their network. Moreover, IKA UNAIR members consist of various groups, ranging from academics, and government officials, to business people.

"Networking plays an important role in the future world. For networking, you can take advantage of IKA UNAIR which comes from various circles. There are academics, government officials, business people, and many more," he explained.

Furthermore, Putut said that each graduate certainly has their dream career. He advised UNAIR graduates to always carry out their career choices well and responsibly.

"Some may be ready to work either in the private sector or government. Some choose to do business as entrepreneurs. Whatever your choice, do your best and be responsible," said the Director of Operations and Commercial of PT Pelindo III.

Putut emphasized that there are several things that graduates must practice in their careers. These include carrying out work on time, always bringing a positive influence to the surroundings, and always focusing on solutions.

"Always do your job well, give your best. Be a bridge for all by always bringing positive influence to the surrounding environment. Focus on solutions, not problems," he said.

Closing his speech, Putut again congratulated the graduates. He also warmly welcomed the graduates to network and join IKA UNAIR.

"Once again we congratulate you on your graduation. Welcome to join IKA UNAIR. We are ready to be a forum for gathering UNAIR alumni from various generations spread throughout Indonesia, "he said.
