One example of being able to have an independent career is by working as a freelancer," said Prof. Elly.

Prof. Elly added that starting a career as a design freelancer is one of the means to gain experience before actually entering a corporate company. According to her, it is a career option that should be tried by today's students.

Learning Graphic Design

Next, Fajar Pursigit as a resource person delivered material about "Unlocking Passive Income for Freelance Graphic Designers". Fajar is a professional graphic designer who has been working for 5 years and specializes in branding logo design, social media visuals, and packaging design.

Fajar also said that one of the important things before starting a career as a graphic design freelancer is to compile a design portfolio. "Portfolios are important so that clients are interested and trust to use our design services. Therefore, start trying to upload your design work to social media as a means of branding to our prospective clients," Fajar concluded.
