UNAIR NEWS – The Psychfil team from Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has won second place in the 2024 National Camp Midwifery Student Competition (NCMSC). The team of Gading Nurhafiza Rachma, Khuril Malail Jannah, and Pionera Seconda Giyanti won the best performance in the event organized by IKAMABI at the Malang Health Polytechnic.

Offer holistic relaxation products
It’s important to remember that the mental health of pregnant women affects not only the mother but also the development of the fetus. During pregnancy, women often experience significant emotional changes, including anxiety, stress, and even depression.

Therefore, the Psychfil team created a relaxation package to help pregnant women stay mentally healthy, prevent depression, and avoid the baby blues. There is also a website with educational material for pregnant women.

“We came up with this idea because we saw the problems experienced by pregnant women during pregnancy. Usually people only focus on physical things such as nutritious food and monitoring the weight. However, rarely does anyone pay attention to mental health,” said Pionera.

Khuril said the product has six kinds of aroma therapy, a guidebook for website access, massage oil, an aroma therapy necklace, and a rediffuser box. The holistic products and digital technology involve all senses: smell, touch, hearing and even empowering education.

Dedication for UNAIR and society
From a tough start to the top of the podium, the UNAIR Midwifery Psychfil team’s journey is an inspiring story of determination, dedication, and resilience. The team worked hard and never gave up until they reached the second-place finish.

We prepared essays, prototyped, and practiced presentations until 11 pm, and it paid off. Our teamwork was unbeatable, and that is what won us the championship.

The psychfil team is ready for other competitions in the future. They will succeed because they are passionate, determined, and work well together. “Don’t be afraid to try, try again when you fail, and never give up. Hopefully we can solve problems and produce a useful product,” said Gading to end the interview with the UNAIR NEWS Team.
