UNAIR NEWS - Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a guest lecture entitled "Sharing Entrepreneurial Experience". The guest lecture took place online via Zoom Meeting on Saturday (1/6/2026).

The guest lecture was part of the Entrepreneurship Integration course. Dr. Ernawaty drg MKes, as the person in charge of this course, opened the session by introducing the speakers and expressing her hopes.

"I hope that with this guest lecture, students can be inspired and gain valuable knowledge and experience from Ms. Ariantika in building their own business," she said.

The guest lecture invited Ariantika Nuraini SKM, an alumnus of FKM UNAIR and entrepreneur owner of Bali Natural Spa Product. Ariantika shared her experience in building the business that was established in 2008.

"With hard work and the right strategy, this business is growing rapidly to reach clients in Bali, Lombok, and even export abroad. In addition, there is also another business, wedang instan jahe merah, which we started due to the impact of Covid-19," she said.

Maintaining Entrepreneurial Consistency
Ariantika shared some strategies to start and maintain consistency in entrepreneurship. She emphasized that it is important to determine the product or service offering, determine the target market, and build management.

"Building a strong brand is equally important. In addition, start immediately and try to be consistent in running the business," said Ariantika.

Ariantika added that in becoming an entrepreneur, you must have a mentality of steel to be ready for all the challenges faced. When running an entrepreneurship, she said, there will be a lot of busyness, such as heavier working hours and fluctuating income.

"Entrepreneurs must also be prepared to lose assets in the future. However, it is important to do entrepreneurial activities with satisfaction and enthusiasm in order to work consistently," he said.

Opportunities and Threats
Ariantika's career journey is certainly not free from challenges and opportunities. According to her, being an entrepreneur does have time flexibility. However, the workload tends to be heavier.

"In addition, the income earned tends to be unstable, to the risk of losing assets. It is important to cultivate mental readiness and a mature financial strategy," she said.

Ariantika continued, behind the challenges faced there are also opportunities that can be maximized. She said that entrepreneurs have the freedom to manage their time, so they can balance work and personal life.

"Being an entrepreneur must also be able to hone various abilities, such as creative, innovative, and leadership skills. This can help maximize all opportunities that exist," he concluded.
