UNAIR NEWS - The 242nd graduation ceremony of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) was a precious moment for the graduates. Today Saturday (06/15/2024), UNAIR has graduated 1,029 graduates from various levels, ranging from Diploma to Doctoral programs. Among thousands of graduates, Gresik Regent H Fandi Akhmad Yani SE MMB, who has completed his postgraduate studies, was also present.

Previously, the Regent who is familiarly called Gus Yani graduated from UNAIR in 2009. In the course of his career, he served as chairman of the Gresik Regency Regional Representative Council (DPRD) since 2019-2020. Then he served as a Regent since 2021. Gus Yani completed his Master's degree in Disaster Management at UNAIR.

"I am grateful for the graduation from the Master of Disaster Management, and I also appreciate the other graduates today," he said emotionally.

Busy as a government official, for Gus Yani, studying is important for one's life journey.

"Dividing time to study is a sacrifice on the road to our success," he said.

To UNAIR NEES, Gus Yani also shared the results of labor research in his area, Gresik Regency. He said that there were at least 2.31 billion technology investments, but actually only needed one person to do something. This means that now the younger generation is not only competing with their peers, but also competing with technology or artificial intelligence.

"Today's challenges are very tough, we must continue to improve our knowledge, skills, talents, creativity, and must be able to provide innovations as well," said Gus Yani.

"Last but not least, like UNAIR's slogan, morality, where morals are also an important part, not just excellent," concluded the Gresik Regent.
