UNAIR NEWS - Rector of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Prof Dr Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak officially graduated 1,116 graduates from doctoral, master, bachelor and vocational programs. The event was held at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), MERR-C Campus.

In his speech, Prof. Nasih emphasized the importance of pride that every graduate must have. He reminded that completing a lecture is a great achievement that should be appreciated by every graduate.

“Not everyone has the opportunity to go to college. This is a valuable opportunity that must be utilized with a sense of pride,” Prof. Nasih said at the 243rd graduation period.

The Beginning of a New Journey
Furthermore, he also said that graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a step towards real life. “This graduation is the beginning of a bigger journey. You are not only carrying a diploma, but also knowledge and skills that have been obtained while at UNAIR, “he explained. With this provision, Prof. Nasih believes that UNAIR graduates will be able to face challenges in the modern era.

“UNAIR believes that after graduation, you will get more opportunities to learn. Therefore, make the most of these opportunities,” he added. He emphasized the importance of the spirit of learning to never stop, even after officially leaving college.

The FEB professor also urged graduates to be ready to compete and have relevant skills in the digital era and globalization. According to him, optimism reflects the belief that UNAIR graduates are ready to become innovative agents of change.

“I am sure the knowledge that has been given while at UNAIR will be useful for you to continue learning and innovating in the future,” he said.

Optimistic about the Future
Not only that, Prof. Nasih also invited the graduates to remain optimistic in looking to the future. He explained that currently UNAIR's ranking in the international arena continues to show significant improvement. This year, UNAIR rose to 308th in the world, from 345th previously. This achievement also confirmed UNAIR's position as the fourth best university in Indonesia.

“This ranking is proof that UNAIR is increasingly taken into account in the international arena. This achievement is also inseparable from the many sacrifices and cooperation of the academic community, so we hope that UNAIR graduates can also be considered in the professional world,” he said.

In the end, he hoped that the graduates would always carry the spirit of UNAIR in their every step in the future, and continue to maintain the good name of their beloved alma mater.
