UNAIR NEWS - Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) graduation period 243 was attended by graduates from doctoral, master, bachelor, and vocational programs. On Sunday (11/8/24) at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), MERR-C Campus, dr Moch Jasin M Kes as the head of Alumni Association Bondowoso Branch attended the event. Jasin in his opening remarks said that graduation is a sacred moment and a valuable opportunity to start a social life.

Proud and touched
In his speech, Jasin said that the moment of graduation reminded him of when he was a student, so this moment made him proud and emotional. The reason is, getting an education degree is not easy. There are so many processes and struggles that must be taken.

“Of course I am very proud to see the graduates from UNAIR. Today reminds me of a moment in 2000, when I was still in the position of the graduates. I am grateful that today I have the opportunity to deliver a message in front of the podium and see great student graduates here,” he said.

Jasin said that as graduates with the motto Excellent with Morality, the graduates must have the soul and spirit to contribute to society. Moreover, when studying at UNAIR, the graduates certainly cannot be separated from the support of knowledge that the lecturers have provided.

“I as part of the Alumni Association would also like to thank the lecturers, that as many as approximately 700 graduates today, are a form of application of knowledge from him,” he said.

Strengthen Network
Jasin explained that UNAIR graduates should be proud. Because, UNAIR is a university ranked 308th in the world and the 4th best in Indonesia. Not only that, graduates from UNAIR are ranked 2nd in Indonesia regarding the reputation of graduates in the world of work.

“The role of graduates is very important, because the quality that continues to improve every year will help improve the quality of UNAIR. We are waiting for the contribution of today's graduates to continue to contribute together, developing the world of education or the world of work in Indonesia for the better, with the UNAIR Alumni Association, “he explained.

Jasin said that UNAIR Alumni Association has developed its organization to international level, such as in Malaysia, Singapore, America. The spread of UNAIR Alumni Association in various regions can be a forum for graduates to develop their future careers. “Strengthening the network early on through the Alumni Association can improve quality and benefits for Indonesia, especially for UNAIR,” he concluded.
